Math K Lesson 7:Review + Worksheet

鉴于家长们反映减法对小朋友来说还是有些难,今天的数学课我们主要回顾了前面学习的知识内容,重点复习了加法与减法。

家庭作业:
1. 练习册59-65页。
2. 完成课堂中未完成的讲义部分

强调下作业要求:
1. 起始阶段家长陪同完成作业,适当时候给予指导,后期慢慢淡出,鼓励孩子独立完成,强调小朋友自己的作用。
2. 每次老师批改作业后(谢谢我们的助教Apple老师^_^),小朋友们要及时做订正(温故而知新,很重要!从错误中总结知识,很重要!)
3. 要用不同颜色的笔做订正(还是强烈建议小朋友在低年级阶段用铅笔做题,做错了可以擦去重写,但在订正阶段,用另外一种颜色的笔来做,避免混淆)
4. 作业不仅力求正确,也要整洁。培养良好的学习习惯,从娃娃抓起:P

Bilingual Chinese Lesson 7: Review Unit 4, Introduction to Chinese Calligraphy

Dear all,

All of the nine students attended school today:) Nathan and Lauren have won their first prize by collecting 5 stickers from Ms. Li. Congratulations! Other kids, come on :P

We reviewed Unit 4, and had the introduction to Chinese Calligraphy. Everyone was excited to get the brush and "magic paper" to write with. Please take good care of them, and remember to bring them back to school each week. By the end of the school year, you can keep them as your own.

Important hint:
Next week (Nov. 4th) we will have our midterm test (Oral test + writing test). And on Nov. 11th, we will have our third online course this year.

I will give each student test paper to write with. Students should know:
1) numbers from 1-10 in Chinese 一二三四五六七八九十, basic Chinese characters (remember those in workbooks of tracing: 老师您早你好再见,对不起没关系不客气
2) pinyin of  a o e i u ü with 4 tones, and pinyin of b p m f 
3) the basic strokes/radicals/ structures of a Chinese character, and count how many strokes are there in a character;

and each kid needs to come to me, to 1) read the words in the textbook, 2) have a short conversation with me in Chinese. 

If you cannot come, please inform me ahead.

I will try to make the test simple and basic. Everyone, please get yourself well prepared.

Math K Lesson 6: Subtraction II

今天我们继续学习了减法(减法表示减少,或从总数里拿走部分),小朋友需要掌握减法的不同方法:
1:数数(用手指头或其他小物品)(cross out或者take out)
2:用number-line(数轴):数轴的越右边数字越大。所以7-2,就可以先在数轴上先定位数字7,然后往左(注意区分,加法是往右,因为右边的数字大)数2格,就得到7-2=5
3:用number-bond:我们知道2+4=6,那么相应的,6-2=4以及6-4=2。

一是要理解减法的概念(减少,或者拿走);二是区分减法与加法的区别;三是多练习。

下周我们会用一节课的时间回顾复习加法与减法。

(59-65页分到下周,减轻压力^_^)

Math K Lesson 5

大家好!

今天我们复习了数字0-10和加法(老师很开心地看到小朋友的数字书写——特别小心,例如6,7这些数字,我们不能左右写反——以及加法运算都有很大提高^_^),也学习了减法的第一部分(课本38-43页)。正如大宇小朋友说的那样,减法和加法是相反的。随着学习推进,具体我们后面还会进一步探讨加法和减法之间的关系哦!

前面的作业同学们做得很不错,希望再接再厉,记得要订正错题。集满5个stickers的同学可以来老师这边换取小礼物。

今天的作业是练习册41-47页,预习第4单元第二部分(课本44-51页)。下周六见!





Bilingual Chinese Class 5:Review

Hello all,

We briefly reviewed what we have learnt in the previous weeks:

1.一二三四五六七八九十
2.pinyin of a o e i u ü with 4 tones (pay attention to the position where the tone is labelled)
3. strokes, radicals, structures of a character
4. how to greet each other in Chinese: 你好 你早 再见
5. played a game of 左右(left and right)

We even performed the song of <一二三四五六七,我的朋友在哪里>. The students went to the front of the classroom, and learnt how to introduce themselves in Chinese, and sang the song together.

We will have our first class quiz next week! I will ask you to write the Chinese numbers and pinyin with different tones! Be prepared:P

Math K Online Class 2

I am so glad to see the kids' progress in addition in this class.
Today we have learnt the second and third parts of Lesson 2: Addition.
Homework: workbook Page 28-40.

今天小朋友的表现好棒,比上节课回答问题更踊跃啦。我们今天把加法全部学完了,作业是练习册28-40页。下周六我们学校见哦!




家长们可以打印这2份加法口诀表和凑十儿歌,小朋友如果可以背起来,将来口算会很厉害哦。目前不会背也不要有压力,我们可以慢慢来^_^




记得下周我们就要开始学习加法的逆运算(就是相反的意思^_^)——减法啦!小朋友们可以提前预习哦!

We are teaching the greetings in Chinese in the following weeks.

The online class system of Zoom has set a limit for 40 min for each section. After the first 40 min, you will log out automatically. We will have a break of 5 min and then start the second section. Remember to come back for it:)
