Today we reviewed Lesson 7 and started Lesson 8: 我喜欢蓝色.

Math K 12/16: Unit 8 Length
今天我们学习了第八单元:长度。
小朋友试着用脚步、直尺来丈量教室的长度,量了彼此的身高和腰围。
需要掌握的知识点:
1. 比较长度(高度),适当的时候借助数数、测量等手段
对应的英文术语:long - longer - longest, tall - taller- tallest, short - shorter - shortest,
2. 学会简单的测量方法(直尺,知道从0刻度线开始,知道如何读数)
家庭作业:
练习册:138-144页。
因为有2周放假,可以在假期间完成前面的review部分。练习册116-123页。
提前祝大家圣诞节、新年快乐!我们1月6日见(上Unit 9:Weight,就结束上册的学习了)。1月13日是Online class,学校安排Parents Meeting,我们会留一半时间来做 Final Review。尤其是20以内加减法部分,会重点给孩子再梳理复习一遍。1月20日Final Exam,1月27日开始新学期课程(家长们可以开始从新加坡数学官网或者Amazon上订购1B的课本和练习册了^_^)。

Math K 12/09: 形状
今天我们复习了上周学的20以内加减法(小朋友们掌握得还不是很扎实,还要继续巩固哦,我们会在期末考试前的一周安排一次总复习,大家也可以把平时积攒的问题整理好集中答疑)。
新课内容是第七章:形状(shapes)。同学们基本都已经认识几个基本形状:
circle 圆形,triangle 三角形,rectangle 长方形,square 正方形,diamond 菱形(书中不做要求)。需要掌握的技能:
1. 认识形状(书68-70页)
2. 分组归类(根据形状、大小、颜色等)(书71-73页)
3. 比较形状大小(书74页)
4. 找排列规律pattern(书75页)
5. 补齐形状,重新分割组合形状(书76-77页)
家庭作业:
练习册124-137页
最后再次感谢Mason妈妈今天客串TA帮忙批改小朋友们的作业^_^

Today all of the six students did a very good job in the presentation: introduce the family in Chinese. I am glad to see how the language we learnt in class can be connected to and applied in the daily life. Keep up the good work!
We learnt Lesson 7 哥哥八岁. The students should be able to ask and answer "how old are you" in Chinese. Key points in this lesson:
1. New words: 哥 吗 个 他 岁 弟 没
2. New pinyin: j q x
3. New radicals:“人”字头 stretching person,“山”字头 mountain
4. family members in Chinese:
Review:the meaning of each character:
Sorry in the textbook it's the meaning of each radical. Please help your kids correct it.

2. Recite the passage on textbook Page 38
3. Listen to the recording and finish Part 3 on Page 40 (textbook)

今天我们完成了第六章20以内数字的第二部分:加减法(这也是本学期的重难点),希望大家引起重视。
知识点小结:
1.凑十法: 9+4=(9+1)+3=13
2.拆分法: 13+4=10+(3+4)=17;16-4=(10+6)-4=10+(6-4)=12
3.数轴法: 加法往后,减法往前(具体见课本67页)
家庭作业:
练习册95-115页
