By the end of this section, what students should be able to do:
- count within 10 (including 0 to denote an empty set)
- read and write the number symbols (numerals) 0 to 10 and the corresponding number-words
- compare two numbers within 10
- count backward from 10 to 0
- arrange the numbers 0 to 10 in order
- counters (buttons, coins or others)
- numeral cards (0, 1, 2, 3, ... 10)
- number-word cards (zero, one, two, ...ten)
- number, numeral, number word
- how many, count
- match, compare, same number, more, less
